Fryderyk Midor started studying cello with Alicja Murzynowska at the S. Moniuszko music school when he was 6. Currently he studies at the K. Szymanowski Secondary Music School in Katowice (Anna Tumidajska). He participated in many cello master classes. He took part in more than 40 cello competitions in Poland and abroad including the International Dotzauer Cello Competition (2019, 3rd prize), Antonio Janigro International Cello Competition (2020, 1st prize), K. Wiłkomirski International Youth Cello Competition (2020, 1st prize), Heran Cello Competition (2021, 1st prize and Grand Prix), Gustav Mahler Prize Cello Competition (2021, 1st prize), the International Cello Competition Jan Vychytil (2022, 1st prize).
