Aleksander Traksmann (*2005) started playing the cello when he was six years old. Currently he attends 11th grade at Tallinn School of Music and Ballet under Mart Laas. Aleksander’s achievements have been 2nd prize (2014), 1st prize (2016), 1st prize and Grand Prix (2018) at the Estonian competition "Best Young Instrumentalist”. In 2018, he won 1st prize (Hope Group) in the Karl Davydov International Competition for Cellists. In March 2023, he attended Hayoung Choi’s masterclass. Aleksander has performed as a soloist with Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and he has played also in various ensembles.
