Tristan Ilves (*2012) started playing the cello at the age of 6 under the tutelage of Ruslan Petrov (VHK). At the age of 7, he entered Tallinn Music High School (currently Tallinn School of Music and Ballet), where he studies with Mart Laas. Tristan has won the 2nd prize at the National Cello Competition “Best Young Instrumentalist” (2022). He has also attended Nicholas Jones’ masterclasses in 2022 in Kuldiga. In March 2023, he was chosen as a soloist to perform Casadesus’ Cello Concerto in C minor with Tallinn Chamber Orchestra.
