Smiltė Petrošiūtė started playing the cello at the age of 7. She studied at the J.Miščiukaitė Art School in Jonava. Currently she studies at Kaunas Juozas Naujalis Music Gymnasium. Smiltė has won 3rd prize in J.Urba National Competition for String Players and 2nd prize in the International Competition for Young String Performers (2018, Vilnius), 1st prize in “Amicitia sonans" (2021), 1st prize in "Ad libitum" (2021), 1st prize in the International Art, Music and Dance Competition (2021, Copenhagen), Grand Prix in the International Competition for Vocalists and Instrumentalists (2021, Astana), Grand Prix in "Sonata of the Stars" (2022), 2nd prize in G.Mahler International Cello Competition (2023, Prague). Smiltė has soloed with Kaunas CSO and Kaunas Wind Instrument Orchestra.
