Roman Cazal studied in the Paris CNSMDP, Hanns Eisler Academy of Music Berlin and HEMU Lausanne, took part in master classes with Xavier Phillips, Jean Guihen Queyras, Gary Hoffman and Frans Helmerson among other masters. As a soloist he has collaborated with many orchestras including Oise Orchestra, Prométhée Orchestra. He also has been asked to premiere a number of contemporary opuses. As a chamber musician he is regularly invited to various festivals such as Beauvais Cello Festival, Violoncelle en Seine, Musiques d’un siècle, Pablo Casals Festival, etc. He has served as principal cellist in different orchestras and recently has been invited by the Ébène Quartet to replace their cellist. Roman is a laureate of the Tokyo Foundation, Fondation de France, Société Générale.
