Guanxing Wang started studying cello at six with eminent pedagogue Dr. Ikia Zhang. He furthered his education at the Middle School of Central Conservatory of Music China (prof. Mula Na), the University of Music and Theatre Leipzig (prof. Anna Niebuhr). He has taken part in master classes of many renowned international cello masters including Lynn Harrell, Jian Wang, Liwei Qin, Mula Na, Bonian Tian, Tilmann Wick, Jan Hendrik Rübel, Martti Rousi, László Fenyö, Igor Gavrysh, Markus Stocker, Kirill Rodin, Michael Strauss, Boris Andrianov and Jesús Castro Balbi.
