Gabija Pinskutė started attending music classes at the age of 8 months, later enrolled in the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Art. On the advice of her grandfather, a cellist in the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Gabija chose the cello. She is currently studying in the second grade. Gabija is lucky to have the help of her teacher Žana Miniotaitė, giving her a lot of extra time to prepare for competitions and concerts. Although she has only been playing for a year and a half, she has already participated in two competitions. She won the "Cello Virtuoso" competition for young cellists of the music and art schools, and was awarded a diploma at the International Viktoras Radovičius competition for young string players.
