Jan Bogdan studied at the Conservatory of Kosice, Slovakia and University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. He has attended master courses by David Geringas and Ralph Kirshbaum among others. Jan made his soloist debut with the State Philharmonic Orchestra of Kosice at the age of 12. He has collaborated with Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic Orchestra, Camerata Jerusalem, Slovak Chamber Orchestra and as a practicum substitute orchestra member with Wiener Philharmoniker and Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Jan has been a recipient of numerous national and international awards, including the 1st prize at “Buchmann-Mehta Strings Competition”, etc. Jan was a member of Quasars Ensemble and since 2019 has served as a Guest Principal Cellist of Israel Chamber Orchestra. He currently studies with prof. Hillel Zori at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Tel Aviv.
